Nelson Street, in the heart of Bristol, had outlived its usefulness and was due for demolition and redevelopment. However, meanwhile it was a street that had an important role in linking the Floating Harbour and other central attractions to the main shopping centres.
Its buildings were unattractive in the extreme. So they brought in the street artists to lift its image.
See the Gallery below taken in September 2012. Today many buildings have been razed to make way for buildings of the future…one is hoped they merit this!
