Preamble

This, a quiet and relaxing visit.

Michael was absent due to work commitments unfortunately and Mel and Shannon also couldn’t make it.

Our Christmas presents seemed to lift the moods of the children – perhaps not surprisingly.

Charlie cooked a delicious chicken casserole plus accompaniments which we all much enjoyed except Isabelle who didn’t seem to be hungry – I expect she eats when she feels hungry instead of on demand for a formal meal.

All except Bethany and Karen went for a walk around the village – a lovely characterful and peaceful place for me compared with central Birmingham and its aggressive young (especially car drivers!).

Back to the house for indulgence in a splendid chocolate cake.

Unfortunately both Charlie and Karen were missed from my photography (and myself as usual!).
