We picked Olive up from New Street station. Then drove to the Botanical Gardens.
Although the sun didn’t shine (I lie it did for 1 minute!) the flowers made up for it. Some fantastic colours and compositions.
We had lunch in the tea room – coq au vin for Olive and I, fish and chips for Karen (one of her rarely indulged in favourites).
Then we wandered around the gardens in search of blooms, and were very pleasantly surprised to find some superb specimens – nature has no equal and no bounds to creativity!
Below is what we saw, some pointed out by Olive – I hope she remembers them.
